
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player plays as a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is captain of San Diego Wave FC. She was also the co-captain of the United States women's soccer team from 2018 to 2020 with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley earlier. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her debut in professional football and was a part of the team's success in winning the league championship. Morgan was just 22 when she was selected to represent the national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011, where they finished in second place. She scored the match-winning goal against Canada in the semi-final match at the 2012 London Olympics. She ended 2012 with 21 goals and 28 assists along with Mia Hamm as the only American woman who scored 20 goals and provide 20 assists during the same year, making her the sixth the tiniest U.S. player to score 20 goals in a single season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan has also played a role in helping the United States win their titles in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, which included her on the Dream Team for both tournaments and also won the Silver Boot in 2019.
