Awkwafina

American actor and musician Awkwafina made her debut with humorous hip-hop tracks that addressed sexual identity and race with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was through the instrument of trumpet. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop education began when she was in her teens. While at school, she studied journalism as well as women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing during a brief time. She turned her attention to music only after she graduated. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album featured other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The song was is directly linked to the album the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. Her resume included both the musician and author. The singer was seeking for a new career path in acting. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released by in Fina We Trust in June of the year.
