Born in Barbados she was raised listening to reggae music, and began singing while she was young. She was disturbed by the mess in her family and constant disputes among her parents. So she began to become a music lover. In high school she joined a musical group and was asked to sing to be a part of Evan Rodgers. The producer was impressed by the ability of this girl.
